Standard Vectorize is one click. Advanced Mode lets you preview, adjust, and refine before you commit tokens. More power. More control. Run a low-cost preview, dial in colors, shapes, and output structure, then finalize once it looks perfect.

Step 1: Preview first (low cost)

Generate a watermarked preview so you can see the conversion before you spend tokens. Previews stay available for 24 hours so you can refine later.

Step 2: Color management

Auto-detect palette, edit or add your own hex values, and cap the palette at 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, or unlimited colors. Adjust tolerance on every color for precise matching or subtle grouping.

Step 3: Shape and detail controls

Ignore dust by setting a minimum shape area, use gap filler to close micro breaks, choose stroke vs. fill, group shapes by color or proximity, and even flatten circles or rectangles into curves if you prefer.

Step 4: Output structure

Choose a stroke-heavy SVG or fill-based output so downstream production stays clean. Some designs weed better with filled shapes; others plot faster with strokes. Advanced Mode lets you pick.

Common questions

Can I vectorize a photo or complex image?

Vectorize is built for logos, line art, and shapes with clear edges. It can vectorize photos, but those files become dense. For gradients or photorealism, keep PNG.

How many colors can the output have?

You choose. Limit colors anywhere from 2 to 256 or go unlimited. Fewer colors mean simpler files and faster cutting; 8–16 colors is the sweet spot for screen printing.

Will it preserve all the detail?

It depends on the original. Simple logos render perfectly. Detailed illustrations can be simplified, but tolerance and minimum shape area give you control over how much detail stays.

Can I edit the SVG after I download it?

Yes. Open the SVG in Illustrator, Inkscape, CorelDRAW, or any vector-friendly tool. SVG is universal and editable.

What if the outline doesn't look perfect?

Advanced Mode lets you tweak tolerance, gap filler, and shape area settings. Iterate in preview mode until the outline is dialed.

What format is the output?

Can I batch vectorize multiple files?

Not yet. Vectorize runs one file at a time, but processing takes about 30 seconds per design.

Do I lose the transparent background?

No. Transparency is preserved automatically so you can place the SVG on any background.

What happens if the image is very small or very complex?

Small images vectorize fine. Extremely detailed art can turn into dense SVGs, so use Advanced Mode to simplify colors and shapes before exporting.
